MEET UP LOCATION: Silverton Town Hall 1360 Greene St, Silverton, CO 81433
First time offering at HIH. The road to the summit, located within the San Juan Mountains, is is fairly steep, rocky, and narrow. The road is usually impassable from September to June. This trail will provide some fantastic views of the San Juans and the surrounding area. You will visit Kite Lake which is a spectacular body of water up in the mountains. Like many of the HIH trails, this is not technical, but will have some exposure and will require your full attention at all times.
